Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip!
I have four passions in life: technology, films (heh), music and writing, from time to time or better yet make that five.. TV shows that make sense is eligible for the fifth.
This show will suprise you.
You probably seen my status message or heard me do a very lengthy description-slash-opinion about this show, and I just can’t stress enough how good it is. I am someone who’s quite slow in the subtlety of how something should be understood and coincidentally that is also my best reason for liking the show that much; you’ll always uncover something new or define an existing view on the plot, clever if you ask me!
From a bird’s eye view, there’s really no magic in a plot outline of “A behind-the-scenes look at a fictional sketch-comedy TV show.” and many to be inferenced about. Maybe co-stars will sleep with one another making things ackward for them while doing the show and that may go on for a few episodes, or even a large concern about ratings and all.
To be able to use cliché elements like these and innovate in such a way that it gives you the old fashion thrill that only TV genuinely provides…. What’s going to happen next? there is really much to be applauded and praised.
Like sitting through another hospital drama, it doesn’t abstract you from the inner workings of what goes on a TV show as well (as it really shouldn’t), and going back to hospital drama, I think I speak for all when I say we’ve had ENOUGH of them’ shows. Now you get “TV set jargon” like sketch, pitch, time delay, awesome, just awesome.
Of course, WHAT SHOW DIDN’T HAVE A HOT GIRL IN IT AND HAD PEOPLE WATCHING? Sarah Paulson and Amanda Peet will make you watch this show unconditionally! Specially Amanda, with all the eyes on her she gets even more gorgeous on every episode! The celebrity guests are awesome as well, to mention… Cyia Batten, a 10, former Pussycat Doll did two episodes and hopefully lots more!
I guess personally speaking, I can’t lay it all down properly the many reasons why you might like Studio 60, but if you’re dead tired of watching the same old shows flowing through the same old repition river where in it feels heavily parallelistic as if they’re side by side in a cheap production lane, then I suggest you give a few episodes a try. I said that because for some shows, the only difference are the actors playing the roles.
This show will suprise you.
